  1. Interesting inventory especially for math! It was more about the student than a math background. I like the inventory. I'm curious as to why you are asking about a goal? Why do you want to know this? Is this for math purposes? Or not. Or do you want to see what path they are on?

  2. The reason I asked about what their current goal was to get to know them more than for math reasons. Although if they said they wanted to be an engineer or something then I could tie some of the problems into future applications they would see. But if they had something big coming up, I can understand why they might be distracted from what we are doing in class or why they might not have all the time in the world for their homework.
